How are inspections booked?

Vendors will send a Call for Inspection form to our Hong Kong office. The Hong Kong Office will then contact our regional offices which schedule the booking. Vendors then receive confirmation from QCS of the inspection date. Scheduling is determined by many factors, including vendor ship dates, certification requirements, and product integrity. The entire scheduling process is overseen by top management, ensuring our clients in the smoothest delivery of inspection services.

What kind of goods do you inspect?

QCS inspects a wide range of hardline and softline goods. These include watches, clocks, jewelry, toys, electronics, furnishings, hardware, clothing, footwear, bedding and other consumer goods.

How far in advance do I need to book inspecrtions?

We need a minimum of 48 hours’ notice before the scheduled inspection to send a qualified inspector on-site.

How are inspections carried out?

QCS inspection teams are transported via our corporate vehicles to each factory scheduled on that day. Inspectors select a sample size for examination based on the AQL and quantity of the goods to be shipped, or inspect the entire shipment (100% inspection) according to our clients’ request. The team thoroughly examines each product and perform tests specific to that item.

The product is evaluated based on customer provided standards and approved samples that are securely maintained by QCS. Defective items are removed and categorized as either major or minor. The QC team leader then completes an inspection report which is faxed directly to our headquarters and entered into the client's secure online system, or made available to the customer via fax or email.

How can I get QCS to inspect my goods?

We invite you to contact the Hong Kong office and submit a project for evaluation. Our staff will determine what type of inspection is suitable for the proposed products.

We will also work with you to determine the exact product quality specifications. We will then assign personnel from our regional office to arrange the inspection and schedule as per the vendor’s request and manufacturer’s production.

What languages are commonly used at QCS?

Our associates speak English, Mandarin, Cantonese, French, Spanish and Thai.
